Robert Carlyle Beardsley, Jr. was born July 16, 1958 in Ottawa, Kansas. He went to our Heavenly Father on June 13, 2021 at his home in Warsaw, Missouri with family at his bedside.  Bob (or Bobby) was the son of Robert C. and Ruby Adamson Beardsley.  He attended schools in Ottawa and Tonganoxie, Kansas and graduated from Ulysses High School, Ulysses, Kansas in 1976.

Bobby was united in marriage to Lola Jean Lundblade on September 1, 1977 and had four beautiful children. They later divorced.

On December 20, 1988 he married Carolyn Taylor who had three daughters. This union created a close knit blended family, who lovingly called themselves the ”B&T Bunch”. The “B&T Bunch” consisted of seven children in total between the two. The young family quickly became one and “his” and “hers” became “ours”.

It didn’t matter where Bobby was employed – he would do his best. He worked at the Ideal Food Store, IBP Industries, Bultman’s, Inc., Ulysses Co-op Car Care Center and Perry’s Tire. He always wanted to own his own business and in 1998, he and Carolyn fulfilled that dream by opening a tire shop which they called C-Bob’s Tire in Lakin, Kansas. In 2011, his son Shane purchased the business from his father.

In March 2016, Bobby and Carolyn moved to Warsaw, Missouri to be near his parents. He had a love for traveling with his family and friends and enjoyed many hobbies, including fishing, boating, gold panning and camping. Bobby was famous for making a campfire and cooking his famous popcorn over the fire.

Bobby was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Ulysses, Kansas.  One of his favorite verses was Galatians 2:20.

He is survived by his children – Tonia Rose Taylor Butler, Tammy Lynn Taylor, Bobbie Jo Beardsley Brockway, Jami SuAnn Taylor Kirkland, Jamie Lynn Beardsley, Shari Ellen Beardsley Flavel and Shane Adam Beardsley;  three brothers – Rickey, Dickey and Daniel Beardsley; one sister – Hope Wilkerson; 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; ex-wife, Lola Beardsley; a brother, Brian; grandson, Ryan Kirkland; son-in-law, Nathan Kirkland; and nephew Ricky Jr.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Reser Funeral Home, 101 W. Main Street, Warsaw, Missouri.  Memorials may be made to Paradise Point Road Development, c/o Reser Funeral Home, PO Box 910, Warsaw MO 65355.
