Robert Wayne Shook, 73, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, at Morton County Senior Living Community, Elkhart, Kansas. Bob was born March 18, 1948, in Winfield, Kansas to Archie and Gladys (Walker) Shook. 

Bob attended school in Garden City, Kansas, graduating with the class of 1966. He married LeeAnn Dimitt in 1968 in Garden City. They later divorced. He worked in food service sales with Procter & Gamble and F&A Food Sales.  He was previously the co-owner of Sonic in Ulysses.  Bob loved all sports and was an avid softball player, bowler and golfer.

He is survived by two daughters – Kim Shook, Woodstock, Georgia, and Cindy Garoutte and husband Brandon, Columbus, Montana; two sons – Kevin Shook and wife ReLinda, Elkhart, Kansas, and Matt Shook, Bentley, Kansas;  one sister – Rita Hoffman, Olathe, Kansas; seven grandchildren – Allison Anderson, Samantha Garcia, Braden Harbour, Dakota Shook, Kadence Shook, Colton Lumpkins, Jace Garoutte; three great grandchildren – Emery Anderson, Avery Anderson, and Aurora Doty; stepmom Edna Tilson, Garden City; two stepsisters – Sherri Moore and Terri Wood; one stepbrother – Russell Meinert; and many other relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 20, 2021, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Robson Funeral Home, Ulysses. Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ulysses Cemetery. A reception will follow at Bentwood Golf Course, Ulysses, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to The Cleve Currier Memorial Scholarship Fund. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, 218 S. Main Street, Ulysses, Kansas 67880.
