Charles “Leon” Anderson, 86

Charles “Leon” Anderson passed away at his home in Lake Oswego, Oregon on May 2, 2022.  He was born on September 17th, 1935 in Missouri to Harold and Marie (Thornton) Anderson.

Leon was a 1954 graduate of Grant County High School. He was an accomplished artist and was an art professor at Forest Park Community College in St. Louis before becoming a therapist for Catholic Services. Leon and his wife moved to Oregon in 2021.

Leon is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria; three daughters - Shelly, Jenny and Megan; granddaughters - Chelsey, Millie, Carolyn and Brenna; and grandson, Channing; sister, Patty (Ron) Craft and brother, William Anderson, both of Ulysses, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers - Jim, Jerry and Steve.

There will be no services. A memorial has been established with the Main Artery to enhance the art programs for the youth of the community of Ulysses, and can be mailed to: Main Artery, PO Box 808, Ulysses KS 67880.
