Chamber Coffee

The Chamber Coffee will be Friday at Bear Creek Coffee Co, 107 N. Baughman St. Grant County Community Foundation will be presenting donations from Grant County Gives. Everyone is invited to enjoy refreshments, catch up on local news, and learn what’s new in our community. If your business or organization is interested in hosting coffee, call the Chamber at (620) 356-4700.

USD 214 BOE

The school board’s next meeting will be at 7 p.m., Monday, November 21, at Joyce School. The meeting is open to the public.

Commissioners

Grant County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m., Monday, November 21, at the courthouse to canvas election results, followed by a regular meeting. The meeting is open to the public.

City Council

Ulysses City Council will meet at 5 p.m., Monday, November 21, at City Hall. This meeting is open to the public.

Rec Board Meeting

Grant County Recreation Board will meet at 5:30 p.m., Monday, December 5, at the Recreation office.

Core Community

Come hear Rebecca Lewis Pankratz talk about how Core Community is solving poverty in our small, rural towns at 5:30 p.m., December 5 at the Bear Creek Coffee conference room. Doors open at 5 p.m.  At the age of 40 Rebecca walked out of poverty with three little boys through a community poverty project.  Come hear her moving and inspiring story. If poverty is an issue on your heart, if you desire to see poverty in your life and or your community solved, come learn more.  Cookies and fruit will be served along with tea.

Medical Funds

A medical fund has been set up at Golden Plains Credit Union for Solia Ochoa to help with medical expenses and travel.  Donations can be dropped off at any GPCU location or mailed to GPCU PO Box 868 Ulysses, KS 67880.
