Chamber Coffee

There is no Chamber coffee scheduled for this Friday due to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. If your business or organization would like to host a coffee, contact the Chamber office at 620-356-4700.

Loaves and Fishes

As we approach the holidays, Loaves and Fishes are asking for assistance in filling their shelves for the increased demand. They welcome your donations at 115 N. Main in Ulysses. For more information, call 620-353-1156.

Sons of Thunder

The Southwest Kansas Chapter of Sons of Thunder will meet on Thursday, December 2nd at Celebration Baptist Church, 831 N. College. The meal will be at 6:30 PM, followed by fellowship, worship and guest speaker Doug Ellison from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

Christmas Light Parade

The Miracles & Magic Light Parade will take place on Thursday, December 2nd on Main Street in Ulysses beginning at 6:30 PM. If you would like to enter the parade, the only requirement is that your entry has lights. For more information, call the Grant County Chamber at 620-356-4700.

Grant County Recreation

The next meeting of the Grant County Recreation Commission board will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 5:30 PM in the GCRC business office. The meeting is open to the public.

Commissioners

The next Grant County Commissioners meeting will be Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the courthouse at 9:00 AM. The meeting is open to the public.

City Council

The Ulysses City Council will meet on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 5:00 PM. It will be held in City Hall and is open to the public.

USD 214 Board of Education

The School Board’s next meeting will be Monday, December 13, 2021 beginning at 7:00 PM at Joyce School.

Toy Drive

The Ulysses FFA will be holding a Toy Drive from November 29th through December 10th. There will be bins scattered across Ulysses for donations of toys. Bins are also located at the high school for each class. The class that collects the most donations will receive a prize.
