Leon L. Koehn, 99

Leon L. Koehn, 99, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at his home.  He was born October 3, 1922 in Galva, Kansas, the son of Eli J. and Susie (Eidse) Koehn.

He was a member of Gospel Mennonite Church in Moundridge.

Leon was a lifelong farmer.

He was united in marriage to Evelyn Mae Koehn on October 31, 1943 in Montezuma, Kansas.  She preceded him in death on March 28, 1975.  Leon later married Martha T. Ensz on July 11, 1976 in Cimarron, Kansas.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his two sons, Lee (Janice) Koehn of Faunsdale, Alabama, and Melvin (Carol) Koehn of Hugoton; daughter, Naomi (Vincent) Becker of Moundridge; daughter-in-law, Cindy Koehn of El Campo, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Dewey (Minnie) Koehn of Greensburg; three sisters, Ila (Jake) Koehn of Victoria, Texas, Velda Peaster of Atwater, California, and Frieda (Richard) Figg of Greensburg; and sister-in-law, Edna Koehn of Geronimo, Oklahoma.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Evelyn Mae Koehn; daughter, Rosie Eicher; son, Charles Koehn; son-in-law, Eldon Eicher; two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Gospel Mennonite Church in Moundridge.  Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, November 5, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Friday at the church.  Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 7, at Grant Mennonite Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas.  Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Tract or Good Shepherd Hospice in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, Kansas 67107.
