Lynn Olen Christian, 83, of Leon, Kans., passed away Sunday, March 19, in Augusta, Kans.

Lynn was born in Moscow, Kans., June 20, 1939, to the late Doris (Carter) and Everett Christian.

He was a cattle rancher and a pilot. Lynn was a member of the Cowboy Mounted Shooting group and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed elk and deer hunting. 

Lynn also enjoyed going to church and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He married Lucy (Cavazos) June 2, 2007. She survives.

He is also survived by a son, Chris Christian (Cheryl); daughters: Carrie VanMeter and Camie Konicek; grandchildren: Corie Mondragon, Cassidy Livengood (Sean), Clinton Christian (Cheyenne), Coy Christian (Shayleigh), Liberty Collins (Jackson), Justice VanMeter (Kayla), Freedom Foster (Andrew), Nation VanMeter (Trish), Patriot VanMeter, Anna Peterson (Ryan), Kai Konicek, Britney Konicek, Callie Konicek, and Clay Konicek; numerous great grandchildren; step daughters: Wendy Wilgers (Bob) and Lori Morton (Jason); many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers: Everett, Jr., Wayne, and Kenneth Christian; and sister, Kay Woods.

Visitation was planned from 6 - 8 p.m., today, Thursday, March 23, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., tomorrow,  Friday, March 24, at 3 Wooden Crosses Cowboy Church, Augusta.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Ulysses Cemetery, in Ulysses.
