Phillip (Phil) Wayne Schmidt, 61, Powderly, Texas, passed away suddenly May 20.
He was born August 30, 1961, in Ulysses, the son of Marvin and Helen Schmidt.
He married Carolyn Schmidt, September 29, 1985, in Ulysses.
He spent his first 53 years in Ulysses, eventually moving to Powderly, Texas, in 2014.
He attended West Haven Mennonite Church, Brookston, Texas.
Phillip enjoyed being a part of the Volunteer Powderly Fire Department.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and three sons: Preston and wife, Wendy, Cameron and wife, Delrose, and Nolan and wife, Amanda; and four grandchildren, Rocky, Blaze, Greyson, and Jade.
