The American Truck Historical Society awards two academic scholarships annually under the George Schroyer Memorial Scholarship fund. ATHS is pleased to announce a new fund sponsored by Cummins. “In addition to the George Schroyer Memorial Scholarship, there is now an ATHS Cummins Scholarship. ATHS is grateful for the generosity of Cummins as a Visionary Partner, not only making an impact on the future of the society but making an impact on future generations,” said ATHS Board Chair Mark Schroyer.

The 2022 academic scholarship recipients were announced on June 11 at the ATHS Awards Banquet during the National Convention and Truck Show in Springfield, Illinois. Each recipient received $1,000.

From Ulysses, Brendan Stejskal has been named as a Schroyer Scholar. Brendan is the grandson of ATHS member Phillip Post and will be attending Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS, to study diesel and heavy equipment.

ATHS begins accepting 2023 scholarship applications in December 2022. Students must attend regular classes, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a family member (child, stepchild, or grandchild) of a current ATHS member in good standing for two years. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing positions in the trucking or transportation industry.
