W.T. Rosel, of the Gray & Rosel store, advised us Monday morning that they were going to continue their store at Johnson which has been closed since December 24. They expect to have a big opening of the store Saturday, with a complete line of seasonable merchandise which will be offered at bargains. The original plans of this mercantile company were to close after the sale which ended December 24, and to remove the surplus stock to their store in Ulysses, but after consideration and making a survey of the territory at Johnson and realizing that to make this move would be to rob Johnson of the only clothing store in the city, they have decided to reopen Mrs. W.T. Rosel and Miss Faye Gay will be in charge of the Johnson store and Ted and Miss Mary Hager will operate the store here.

Sheriff Walker received a brand new Maxwell touring car of the latest model a few days ago and has been breaking it to the road. It is a fine looking bus and seems to be greatly improved over the earlier models of this car.

The county school fund was contributed to on Tuesday by several of our citizens who were caught on a raid on Saturday night by Sheriff Walker. They all plead guilty and drew a fine from Justice White of $25, and costs amounting in all to $31 a piece. The charge was gambling.
