City of Ulysses Police Investigate Shooting Last Week

The Ulysses Police Department released a statement late last week regarding a shooting that took place in Ulysses.

The statement issued by Police Chief, Ronald Vagher stated that on April 25, 2022 at 2:21pm, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Cheyenne Court to investigate a report of multiple shots fired.

Through the investigation, Vagher states, officers with the Ulysses Police Department and the Grant County Sheriff’s Department were able to obtain a search warrant for the location.

During the execution of the search warrant, officers collected several items of drug paraphernalia, illegal narcotics, and a firearm related to the incident. Vagher states, one juvenile and one adult are expected to be charged with crimes related to the evidence collected. One adult was arrested and charged with the Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within the City Limits.

In jail records, Ryan Mason was arrested on April 25, 2022 at 11:50pm for the Unlawful Discharge of Firearm Within the City Limits with a $500 Bond.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
