Quilt Retreat

A quilt retreat sponsored by Stitches in Time Quilt Guild of Ulysses from March 30 through April 1 at Grant County Civic Center. Cost is $60 for three days of fun. There will be vendors from Elkhart, Leoti and Springfield, Colo. Two dinner meals and one luncheon meal are included with entry fee. Relax with Reflexology and massage, play games and prizes. Scholarships

Deadline is March 31, for those wanting to apply for scholarships through the AG Future Scholarship Program. The program is eligible to graduating high school seniors and/or continuing college students pursuing further education (degree or program) in an agricultural field. There will be ten (10) $1,000 scholarships awarded.

Chamber Coffee

Grant County Chamber Coffee will be at 10 a.m., this Friday, March 31, at the Historic Adobe Museum. Everyone is welcome to join us in celebrating Melanie Lee's retirement from the museum at 300 E Oklahoma Avenue. Come out and wish Melanie well and enjoy networking, refreshments, and community announcements.

Senior Prom

Grant County Senior Center's Senior Citizen Prom from 6-9 p.m., April 1, 117 E. Grant Avenue.

Sons of Thunder

Southwest Kansas Chapter of the Sons of Thunder will meet April 6, at the New Beginnings Church, 837 N. Baughman, Ulysses. Come join us the first Thursday of each month at the announced locations for a meal, fellowship, worship and a guest speaker. Easter Egg Hunt

The community is invited to an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m., Friday, April 7, at Western Prairie Care Home, 510 E Jacinto, Ulysses.

School Board

The USD214 Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m.,  April 11, at Joyce School for their regular meeting. They will meet at 5:30 Thursday, April 13, at Kepley Middle School for a special meeting on the proposed bond issue and projects. The public is invited to attend both meetings.

Give Up A Blanket

GIVE UP A BLANKET (and more) FOR LENT! Grace Lutheran Church will once again be collecting blankets during Lent. We will also collect medical equipment (such as crutches, canes, walkers, nebulizers, etc). The collections will go to the Orphan Grain Train. Please leave blankets and/or medical equipment in the tubs outside the front doors at 205 E Patterson Avenue.

Medical Fund

A medical fund has been set up at Golden Plains Credit Union for Solia Ochoa to help with medical expenses and travel. Donations can be dropped off at any GPCU location or mailed to GPCU PO Box 868 Ulysses, KS 67880.
