Chamber Coffee
Chamber coffee this week will be hosted by Kingpin’s. It begins at 10:00 AM at 421 N. Colorado. A ribbon cutting will be held during the coffee. Everyone is welcome to attend and catch up on community events, enjoy refreshments and mingle with other local business people and residents.
Senior Movie
Senior Citizens of the community are invited to enjoy a movie at the Grant County Library on the last Monday of each month beginning at 2:00 PM. The next movie will be shown on August 29th.
Farmer’s Market
The Farmer’s Market is being held each Saturday morning at the Historic Adobe Museum in Ulysses. Bring your home grown, hand made and hand crafted items to sell beginning at 8:00 AM. There is no charge. Call the museum at 620-356-3009 for more information.
Pickin’ on the Porch
If you enjoy making music or just listening to it, the Historic Adobe Museum will be hosting “Pickin’ on the Porch” on Thursday evenings at 8:00 PM. The singers and players will be performing from the porch of the Hotel Edwards. For more information, call the museum at 620-356-3009.
USD 214 Board of Education
The School Board’s next meeting will be Monday, September 12, 2022, 7:00 PM at Joyce School.
Commissioners
The next Grant County Commissioners meeting will be Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the courthouse at 9:00 AM. The meeting is open to the public.
City Council
The Ulysses City Council will meet on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, 5:00 PM at City Hall. Open to the public.
Rec Board Meeting
The next meeting of the Grant County Recreation Board will be on Saturday, August 20th at 8:00 AM at the Terry Stuart building. The board will also be holding their budget hearing and RNR hearing on September 8th at 4:30 PM in the Recreation office.
Medical Fund
A medical fund has been established at Grant County Bank for Susana Barron. She has been diagnosed with pancreatic/lung cancer. Donations can be brought in or mailed to 201 S. Main.
