Chamber Coffee

There will be no Chamber coffee this Friday, October 8th. If your business or organization would like to host a coffee, contact the Chamber office at 620-356-4700.

Blood Drive

Ulysses Community Blood Drive will be held Thursday, October 7th from 12:00 to 6:00 PM in the South Room of the Civic Center. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-733-2767 or go online to redcrossblood.org.

Southwest Concert

Southwest Community Concerts will present “The Folk Legacy” on Sunday, October 10, at 3:30 PM at Clifford Hope Auditorium in Garden City. For those wishing to ride the Senior bus to the event, sign up at the Senior Citizens Center. The bus will leave at 1:30 PM. Call Delores Currier for more info at 620-356-2565.

Farmers Market

The annual Farmer’s Market is being held in the parking lot of the Historic Adobe Museum each Saturday morning at 8:00 AM from now through October. Vendors are welcome -- there is no set-up charge.

Veteran’s Service

The Veteran’s Service Representative is now in Ulysses on the first Tuesday of each month. The representative will be at the Grant County Library, 215 East Grant Ave. from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Grant County Recreation

The next meeting of the Grant County Recreation Commission board will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 5:30 PM in the GCRC business office. The meeting is open to the public.

Commissioners

The next Grant County Commissioners meeting will be Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the courthouse at 9:00 AM. The meeting is open to the public.

USD 214 Board of Education

The School Board’s next meeting will be Monday, October 11, 2021 beginning at 7:00 PM at Joyce School.

City Council

The Ulysses City Council’s next meeting will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 5:00 PM. It will be held in City Hall and is open to the public.

Adopt a Duck

The Ulysses Rotary Club will hold their 15th annual Duck Race on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 5:30 PM. Ducks may be adopted from any Ulysses Rotary Club member. This is a fund-raising project to help with Rotary’s many community activities. You do not have to be present to win.
