Debbie Concannon Traster, age 71, of Wichita, Kansas, died, August 30, 2026, at Reflection Living in Wichita, Kansas. She was born August 25, 1955, in Hugoton, Kansas, the daughter of Donald O. and Patricia June (Davis) Concannon.
Debbie grew up in Hugoton, Kansas, where she attended school and graduated from Hugoton High School with the Class of 1973. She was a member of the Hugoton Methodist Church, where her faith and church community were an important part of her early years. Following high school, she continued her education at Washburn University, where she earned her undergraduate degree and also graduated from Washburn University School of Law. She was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority.
Debbie lived in Wichita, Kansas, for most of her adult life. She enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life, including photography and playing bridge. She was a gourmet cook who took great pride and pleasure in preparing wonderful meals for family and friends. She especially loved baking and creating floral designs. She loved fishing as well, enjoying the peacefulness of being outdoors and the memories made along the way.
Debbie is survived by her brother, Craig Concannon and wife Susan, of Beloit, Kansas; sister-in-law, Barbara Concannon of Hugoton, Kansas; and Sharon Concannon, of Hugoton, Kansas; nieces and nephews, Jessica, Kelsy, Curtis, Christina, Taylor, Tyler, Joshua, Nick and Melissa.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Chris Concannon.
Funeral service will be Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Hugoton Methodist Church in Hugoton, Kansas, with Pastor Pam Peachey officiating. Interment will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2026, with family present from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home, Hugoton, Kansas.
