The annual Epsilon Sigma Alpha District G meeting took place at the Corporate East Hotel in Ulysses over the weekend, bringing in 20 sorority members from Ulysses, Scott City and Liberal. The meeting takes place in Ulysses every third year.
The philanthropic sorority hosted an auction as part of the meeting as a fundraiser for the sorority to help with its philanthropic endeavors.
“We donate to Heart Spring in Wichita ,” said Dolores Currier. “It’s a program for people with communication difficulties.”
The sorority also donates to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, as well as Disaster Fund, Kansas Care and Share, as well as to any of the district sororities that might have a need in the community.
“We have 11 members here in Ulysses,” Currier added.
The district meetings are held every fall and spring.
