FFA Students Try Something New: Agronomy CDE

Recently FFA students at Ulysses High School decided to "try something new." Six students decided they wanted to do the Agronomy CDE.

"We didn’t have much prep time to introduce everything to them so we were definitely learning as we all went but they did awesome!" according to a spokesperson from UHS.

Senior team (Trace Phelps, Blake Harrold, Jeremiah Valdez, and Bryson Stejskal) took 10th out of 19 teams!

Individual placings were:

Trace Phelps, 31st; Dove Miller, 33rd; Blake Harrold, 38th; Bryson Stejskal, 38th; Jeremiah Valdez, 41st and Katelynn Rice 44th.

"These kids went in with their own knowledge for the most part with only having a few practices and a couple of teachers that were learning as well," according to the spokesperson. "They did great! A big thanks to Jennifer Hegwood in helping with preparations! Now we know more for next year!
