GARDEN CITY — Garden City Community College and the GCCC Endowment Association are excited to announce the President's Scholarship Initiative. This initiative is devoted towards the goal of adding 50 new endowed scholarships at a minimum of $10,000 each by the end of 2023.
Garden City Community College is the only community college in Kansas to see an increase in enrollment each of the last five years. In 2022, GCCC saw 250 students that were qualified and showed financial need go without scholarships. This lack of scholarship dollars has triggered the GCCC Administration, in partnership with the GCCC Endowment Association, to create the GCCC President's Scholarship Initiative.
The President's Scholarship Initiative allows individuals or businesses to start an endowed scholarship with as little invested as $10,000 over 5 years. The donor has the opportunity to name the scholarship and set the eligibility requirements.
