Here's My Take On: Vida Wellness

Posted

On our trip to Vida Wellness I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve never been to a place like that before and I didn’t know much about singing bowls.

When we arrived, we took off our shoes so we wouldn’t track in mud. This made it feel welcoming and comfortable. It was interesting to see everything set up in front of the singing bowls. There were mats for everyone to lay on and we were given blankets. I’m glad that blankets were an option because it was a little chilly and we were all wet from the rain.

We laid down on our backs with our heads to the bowls. The lights turned off and she told us to start relaxing.

There was soothing music for a couple minutes, and then all of the sudden it was the sound of the singing bowls. The sound was beautiful and it felt like an embrace to your whole body. She played them in different patterns and even put one by each of our heads.

The sounds I remember were sweet and harmonic at some points. She called this a sound bath, and it helps heal the body and helps with the mind. We were in the sound bath for what seemed like hours, but it was only 20-30 minutes. When I sat up, I was so relaxed. Some people even fell asleep. We all sat while she told us about sound and how its vibrations carry through the body. She also told us some facts about the bowls themselves and where they came from and what they’re made of. After that, we got up and said our goodbyes.

I really enjoyed our trip to Vida Wellness. It was warm and comfortable for everyone. I would definitely go back to experience some of the other things she offers. I liked the way the sound bath made me feel and how soothing it was.
