Jennifer Hegwood Honored For Earning Nominee As Kansas Teacher Of the Year

Jennifer Hegwood, biology teacher at Ulysses High School, was honored in Salina, Kans., last weekend for earning USD 214’s nominee for Kansas Teacher of the Year at the secondary level.

"It was a great day of celebrating excellent teachers throughout the state," said a spokesperson for USD214. Thank you Mrs. Hegwood for all you do for our students at Ulysses High School!!"

Hegwood has been teaching at Ulysses for six years.

Her husband and two sons were present for the event.
