Katherine Jane Gilbert, 77, Moscow, Kans., passed away Wednesday, March 22, in Easton, Kans.
Katherine was born September 6, 1945, in Liberal, Kans., to Herman and Iva Jean Munson.
She married Charlie Gilbert August 4, 1974, in Moscow, Kans. She resided in Moscow, for the majority of her life.
Katherine attended Moscow High School and Seward County Community College for Nursing. She was a nurse for many hospitals and nursing homes.
She enjoyed gardening, music, art, and spending quality time with her children and grand-children.
She was a member of the Moscow Baptist Church.
Katherine is survived by her four children: Rick Grandstaff, Rachel (Phillip) Reese, Darcie Grand-staff, and Peggy (Mark) Gunderson; seven grandchildren: Micheal Elliott, Dusty Cline, Dakota Cline, Christopher Harjo, Stephanie Thornhill, Bethany Kyle, and Brooke Sniff; several great-grand-children; and siblings: Ken Munson and Daroll Munson.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; her sister, Barbara Williams, and her parents Herman and Iva Jean Munson.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, April 28, at Moscow Baptist Church. Pastor Steven Swann will be officiating the service.
