American Implement, your local John Deere dealer, is proud to announce that they have awarded an Ag TECH Sponsorship to local graduating Ulysses High School senior, Abel Ledesma. This opportunity is for students that desire to go into the Agriculture Industry and become a certified John Deere Service Technician. Upon completion of the American Implement Ag TECH Program, students receive an Associate’s Degree, tuition paid by American Implement, and the security of having a guaranteed career straight out of college. This is a full ride scholarship which covers tuition, fees, and room and board. Altogether, this impressive scholarship is over a $35,000 package. Ledesma will be attending the John Deere TECH Program at Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kansas.

American Implement partners with Garden City Community College and Southeast Community College that both facilitate a certified John Deere Ag Tech program. While attending the program, students learn not only in a classroom setting, but they take what they have learned and head out to the service shop and apply it in a hands-on setting. The program also includes paid internship opportunities at the local American Implement dealership location based on the student’s schedule. This allows students to learn from experienced Service Technicians and receive more great hands-on learning.
