LINDA LAMBERSON

Linda Lamberson, 81, Ulysses, died Wednesday, June 21, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses. 

She was born May 29, 1942, in Lakin, Kans., the daughter of Leonard and Kathryn (Davis) Thompson.

Linda was a lifelong resident of Grant County and graduated from Grant County Rural High School in 1960. 

She married Arcine Lamberson June 26, 1960, in Ulysses. 

For many years she was a very talented florist at numerous flower shops in Ulysses.  She also was an owner of The Cracked Crock antique shop. 

She loved animals, antiquing and had traveled to many places in the world.  Linda was very active in the community. She taught painting classes, was active at the Main Artery, a member of Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Jr. Civic, and a member of Shelton Memorial Christian Church. 

Linda loved her family and grandchildren very much and treasured the time she spent with them. 

Linda is survived by her daughter, Holly Mathes and husband, Allen, Ulysses; brother, Tommy Thompson and wife, Lynn, Wichita; three grandchildren: Adam, Emily and Jake; and six great-grandchildren: Leah, Addi, Chayden, Chaunee, Cash, and Claude.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Kathryn Thompson; husband, Arcine; and siblings: Iyla Lee, Karen, Kathy, Richard and Diana.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.
