Remembering Our Loved Ones

I know you will be led to dress in costumes, the culture and the world will lead you to mock death, or celebrate horror, bloody murders, witchcraft, and the dark forces in this world. In Ephesians 6:12 we are reminded that this is our enemy, not flesh and blood but the evil forces of this world. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

The Church takes time on November 1, to remember the faithful departed. Those who have gone before us, not to the unknown, or to purgatory. Our Lord tells us in the Bible that those who have died trusting and believing in the Lord Jesus Christ are in His hands; Alive in Christ. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

I want to invite you this week to take a moment to thank God for the life and blessings granted to your family members and friends, those you hold dear who have been called to eternal rest. Remember them at home with your family, especially at Church, where you will be comforted with the truth. Because Jesus, the Son of God became man, who knew no sin, and willingly gave his life for you and for them. He died on the cross paying for the sins of the world. It was his death and bloodshed that has made a way for you to be forgiven and reconciled to God the Father. Through His resurrection we can be confident that what awaits us on the final day is a grand reunion with the saints, those who have been called before us, to stand in the presence of God and enter into His kingdom for eternity. John 5:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”

Share the light of Jesus today, do not be led astray by the darkness of this world and its culture. It is by faith that we say no to evil and turn our backs to the lies of the devil. By faith, we look forward to that day, when we will be united with our loved ones and rejoice in the presence of the one who has made it possible by his suffering, death, and resurrection, our Lord Jesus Christ.

RECORDANDO A NUESTROS SERES QUERIDOS.

Sé que talvez te disfraces, la cultura y el mundo te llevarán a burlarte de la muerte, o a celebrar el horror, los asesinatos sangrientos, la brujería y las fuerzas oscuras de este mundo. En Efesios 6:12 se nos recuerda que este es nuestro enemigo, no carne y sangre sino las fuerzas malignas de este mundo. “Porque no tenemos lucha contra sangre y carne, sino contra principados, contra potestades, contra los gobernadores de las tinieblas de este mundo, contra huestes espirituales de maldad en las regiones celestiales”.

La Iglesia se toma un tiempo el 1 de noviembre para recordar a los fieles difuntos. Aquellos que se han ido antes que nosotros, no a lo desconocido, ni al purgatorio. Nuestro Señor nos dice en la Biblia que aquellos que han muerto confiando y creyendo en el Señor Jesucristo están en Sus manos; Vivos en Cristo. Juan 3:16 “Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna”.

Quiero invitarte esta semana a tomar un momento para agradecer a Dios por la vida y las bendiciones concedidas a tus familiares y amigos, aquellos que amas y que han sido llamados al descanso eterno. Recuérdalos en casa con tu familia, especialmente en la Iglesia, donde serás consolado con la verdad. Porque Jesús, el Hijo de Dios se hizo hombre, quien no conoció pecado, y voluntariamente dio su vida por ti y por ellos. Murió en la cruz pagando por los pecados del mundo. Fue su muerte y derramamiento de sangre lo que abrió un camino para que seas perdonado y reconciliado con Dios Padre. A través de su resurrección podemos estar seguros de que lo que nos espera en el día final es una gran reunión con los santos, aquellos que han sido llamados antes que nosotros, para estar en la presencia de Dios y entrar en su reino por la eternidad. Juan 5:24 “De cierto, de cierto os digo: El que oye mi palabra y cree al que me envió, tiene vida eterna. No vendrá a condenación, sino que ha pasado de muerte a vida”.

Comparte hoy la luz de Jesús, no te dejes llevar por la oscuridad de este mundo y su cultura. Es por la fe que decimos no al mal y damos la espalda a las mentiras del diablo. Por la fe, esperamos con ansias ese día, cuando estaremos unidos con nuestros seres queridos y nos regocijaremos en la presencia de aquel que lo ha hecho posible con su sufrimiento, muerte y resurrección, nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
