Therese A. Minks, age 71, died, August 27, 2026, at Western Prairie Senior Living in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born, January 20, 1955, in Ulysses, Kansas, the daughter of Donald Eugene and Shirley A. (Komma) Johnson.
Therese was born and raised in Ulysses, where she graduated from Ulysses High School. She went on to earn a Nursing Degree from Garden City Community College. Her knowledge and compassion led her to many places in her 20 plus years as a nurse. She cared for others in Salina, Abilene and in her hometown of Ulysses at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital and Western Prairie Care Home.
Outside of her career, she enjoyed going to concerts and the casino. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Therese is survived by her sons, Chad Minks and wife, Ashley of Ulysses, Kansas and Christopher Minks and wife, Bri of Oberlin, Kansas; and five grandchildren, Cambri, Lukas, Joshua, Kaezely and Hudson.
Therese is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Shirley; and brothers, Michael Johnson and Bret Johnson.
