Third Times The Charm: After Decades On Main The Ulysses News Is On The Move

Posted

Following decades spent at 218 North Main, the oldest surviving business in Grant County is relocating for the third time in 86 years.

After thorough discussions and planning, the home of The Ulysses News was officially listed for auction by Faulkner Real Estate Wednesday, July 19.

Bids were accepted until Tuesday, October 3. A final settlement will not occur until Thursday, November 9.

Since its debut in 1937, The Ulysses News began in a different building in the business district, 201 N Main, which is now home of Edward Jones - Financial Advisor: Bill Hickok.

In the near future, The Ulysses News team can be found at 206 E Grant Avenue (previously Frazee Abstract and Title, Inc.).

Staff members Nancy Wallace-Kletecka, Meaghan Noriega, and Connie Rivero, are excited to serve and inform the community from their new location starting Wednesday, October 11.

The office will be closed October 9-10, as they move into their new building.

They are also exicted to be able to announce soon the addition of a familiar face to the team.
