UHS Brings Home League Champs!

Ulysses High School brought home four league champions from a Forensics event recently.

"Congratulations to our Forensics competitors as they competed in Cimarron for the GWAC competition," a spokesperson from UHS said in a recent Facebook post. "Our forensics students work hard to hone their craft, and their hard work continues to keep paying off!! Congratulations!"

Three of the students competing at GWAC brought home first places: Nixon Keeler, first in Oration; Keeler and Galilea Martinez, first in IDA; and  Arabella Ashby, first in Humorous Solo, and first in Impromptu. Ashby also brought home second in Dramatic Solo.

Also placing at GWAC was: Adelaide Schneider and Yuliana Vazquez, third in Duet Acting and fourth in IDA;  Adrian Escobedo, third in Extemp and sixth in Informative; and Taaron Smith, fourthh in Informative.

Ulysses High School offered their congratulations to members of their Forensics team as well as to those who volunteered their time as judges.

"A huge thank you to Rick Ashby, Jon Becker and Rachel Harmon for going as our judges," the spokesperson said.
