Ulysses Woman Injured In Texas County, Oklahoma Accident

Ulysses resident Kathy Dillon Ibarra, 39, was injuried in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday, September 30 in Texas County, Okla.

According to Oklahoma officials, the accident occurred at approximately 1:46 p.m., on Oklahoma 136 and Texas County Road J.

Authorities said Samuel Gomez, 54, of Tyrone, Okla., was driving a 2014 Peterbuilt westbound on County Road J, approximately 11 miles north of Guymon, when the accident occurred.

Ibarra, who was driving a 2020 Hyundai SantaFe was southbound on Oklahoma Highway 136, when her vehicle "made contact" with the semi. Both vehicles then departed the roadway to the west, coming to rest on their wheels.

Authorities said Ibarra was transported by Guymon Emergency Medical Services to Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Okla.,  where she was admitted in stable condition with head, neck and internal injuries.

Gomez was not injured.
