Yevette Lane, 75, died on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi St Francis Hospital in Wichita. She was born on December 15, 1946 in Canon City, Colorado, the daughter of Lawrence Eston & Ethel Mae (Davison) Epperson. She married Ralph D. Lane on October 1, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Yevette grew up in several places throughout her childhood, but always called Lakin home. After her marriage, the family lived in Ulysses and Garden City. She and her husband owned and operated rental housing in Garden City and had worked several other jobs, but she always considered herself to truly be a homemaker. Yevette attended the Church of the Nazarene in Ulysses, enjoyed crocheting, crafting, camping, and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed her family activities.

She is survived by her husband- Ralph Lane; Children- Nick Bahntge of Topeka, Chuck & Dana Lane of Lakin, Tammy K. Lane-Reese of Ulysses, Tammy & Mike Arbogast of Lakin, Jeffery & Charlotte Bahntge of Kendall, Shannon Bahntge of Sublette and Tommy Lane of Lakin; two brothers- Woodrow (Woody) & Valerie Epperson of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Lawrence (Larry) Epperson of Perkins, Oklahoma; Sister-In-Law- Betty Epperson of Guthrie, Oklahoma; 26 Grandchildren, 36 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother- Vernon (Vern) Epperson; sister- Gloria Epperson; and Grandson- Justin Lane.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Wesleyan Church in Lakin with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Lakin Cemetery.
