Home Products Dinner
The Home Products Dinner was held Tuesday, September 15, at the Grant County Civic Center, with dinner beginning at 7 p.m. This year featured a special collaboration with the Beef Battalion, a nonprofit that prepares meals for veterans. The group prepared the meat on-site beginning early that morning. Comedian Michael Joyner provided entertainment.

Furever Friends Paws
The Paws for Paws Golf Tournament is Saturday, September 12, at Grant County Golf Course. Check-in is at 8 a.m., with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Contact Nicole Winter for remaining registration availability.

The Furever Friends Gala is Saturday, September 19. The event includes a steak dinner for $65 per person or $120 per couple, live entertainment by Jake Neal and an auction supporting local animal welfare efforts.

Cruise Down Memory Lane
Cruise Down Memory Lane will take place Saturday, September 19, from 9 a.m. to noon at Western Prairie Care Home in Ulysses. Contact Juan Frost Rico through Facebook for more information or to participate with a vehicle.

Fairytale Fair
The Grant County Library will host its Fairytale Fair Tuesday, September 29, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Grant County Civic Center. Volunteers are welcome to read stories or provide cookies. Contact Mirabel at the library to participate.

Fall Fest & Car Show
Fall Fest and the Car Show will take place Saturday, October 3. The car show will be held in the afternoon and is open to cars, motorcycles and side-by-sides, with pre-registration or day-of registration available.

Fall Fest will run from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and feature a ping pong ball drop, touch-a-truck, beer gardens, vendors and a live evening concert by Jake Gill on Main Street.

Rotary Club Duck Race
The Rotary Club Duck Race will take place Friday, October 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the drainage ditch. Ducks can be purchased from any Rotarian for $10 each, $25 for three, $50 for six or $100 for 13. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.

Health Department Screenings
Free health labs and cancer screenings will be offered November 7.

A mobile mammography unit will be available November 15 and 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Appointments are required.

Trick or Treat Trail
The Trick or Treat Trail will take place Friday, October 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Main Street area. Local businesses, churches and high school clubs are invited to set up booths and hand out treats. Contact Chris to be added to the participant list.
