Chamber Coffee

Chamber coffee this week will be held at the Tiger Pit at 113 N. Colorado St. They will be adding State wrestlers names to the wall of honor.  Enjoy refreshments, community announcements and visiting with other business people and community members. If your business or organization would like to host a coffee, call the Grant County Chamber at 620-356-4700.

Senior Citizen Prom

The Grant County Junior Leadership class is hosting a Senior Citizen Prom on Saturday, April 30th from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Grant County Recreation Activity Center located at 120 W. Grant Ave. Play bingo, dance, listen to the music and enjoy refreshments. Each attendee will receive a souvenir photo and no ID’s will be checked.

Game Group

Calling all adventurers! Tabletop RPGs await the brave and creative! Come to an interest meeting at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 30 at 309 S. Maxwell St. Snacks will be provided for heroes bold enough to attend! A cat will be present and small children are welcome to come play while parents discuss critical fails.

Blood Drive

The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the Grant County Civic Center on Thursday, May 5th from 12:00 to 6:00 PM. To schedule an appointment, go online to redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-733-2767.

Sons of Thunder

The next meeting of Sons of Thunder will be on Thursday, May 5th at New Beginnings Church 837 N. Baughman. The Guest speaker will be Joel Tuchez of Dodge City. The meal begins at 6:30 followed by the speaker, fellowship and worship. All men are invited to attend.

Senior Movie

The Grant County Library invites adult seniors to the library on the last Monday of each month for a movie and refreshments. The event will begin at 2:00 PM.

Grant County Recreation

The next meeting of the Grant County Recreation Commission board will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 5:30 PM in the GCRC business office. The meeting is open to the public.

Commissioners

The next Grant County Commissioners meeting will be Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the courthouse at 9:00 AM. The meeting is open to the public.

USD 214 Board of Education

The School Board’s next meeting will be Monday, May 17, 2022, 7:00 PM at the Kepley Middle School library.

City Council

The Ulysses City Council meeting will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022, 5:00 PM at City Hall. Open to the public.

Medical Fund

A medical fund has been established at Grant County Bank for Susana Barron. She has been diagnosed with pancreatic/lung cancer. Donations may be brought in or mailed to 201 S. Main Street.
