County Conducts Pay Plan Study

In an ongoing Pay Plan Study for Grant County employees across all departments, surveys are being sent to businesses and governments of counties far and wide, including in Grant County, asking for input and details concerning current pay scales and benefits offered for similar positions in surrounding areas and across the state.

Grant County Clerk Sheila Brown told Commissioners Mark McGaughey, Marty Long and John Martin at their March 7 meeting that results are being compiled as they came in.

Budgeting for 2024 for all departments has already begun. Erratic fuel and rising product prices for building maintenance and repair costs are just a few of the economic expenditures having an impact on budgets for the next year. County Commissioners generally address the final budget changes in July for official publication.

Grant County Commissioners meet at 9 a.m., on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Grant County Courthouse, 108 S. Glenn. Meetings are open to the public.
