Dalton Kincaid will be providing first-hand reports as a freelancer for school sports in USD 214.

As the head coach for seventh grade football, Kincaid will offer a unique standpoint for readers to enjoy athletic highlights.

“I gave it everything I had last year, in my first year of coaching, and I fell back in love with the game of football,” Kincaid said, when asked about his coaching career.

Given Kincaid’s history with UHS, emotions run high when he steps foot onto his old stomping grounds.

“This isn’t just a football field, it’s special to a lot of us,” Kincaid explained.

Kincaid is a lifelong resident of Grant County. He graduated from Ulysses High School in 2010 and, soon after, joined the United States Marine Corps. Kincaid served as a 2147 Light Armor Vehicle Repairman for four years. Kincaid was stationed in several areas including: North Carolina, California, Afghanistan, and Okinawa, Japan.

In 2011, Kincaid married his high school sweetheart Andrea (Neatherlin). After his departure from the military, Kincaid and his wife moved back home, and grew their family with the addition of three daughters: Mykaylah, Maci, and Arya.

Currently, Kincaid is a Technical Support Specialist at Pioneer Communications.

Stay tuned for content from Kincaid on upcoming sporting events in USD 214.
