Jamie White Joins News Sales Staff

The Ulysses News welcomed Jamie White to the staff of the Ulysses News in March. Jamie will be an advertising professional for the News.

White is not new to the world of media. She previously worked for The Guymon Daily Herald in the Circulation Department for four years and the Advertising Department  for a year and a half. Prior to The Guymon Daily Herald she was employed at Oklahoma Panhandle State University in the Water Lab Department.

White was born and raised in Guymon, and a graduate of Guymon High School.

“Jamie and I worked together in the newspaper field,” said Managing Editor Nancy Kletecka. “I'm excited to have her join our team here at The Ulysses News. I am confident that she will take care of our customers proficiently and will be a great asset to the Ulysses community.”

White lives in Liberal with her husband, Steven. They have three daughters: Aubrie (Francisco) Ybarra, Jaden, and Alexia White; sons: Mason Michael, Nick, Charlie, and Gabe White.

In her spare time, White enjoys spending time with family, attending her children's activities, attending church, and volunteering with school projects in her community.

Growing up, White and her brother, Jason, bowled on a league sponsored by their father. The two won several awards and patches. While in school, White was active in band during junior high and high school.

A professed animal lover, White says she loves dogs, cats, three-legged frogs and birds.

"Her mom always said she should have been a veterinarian," a family member of White's said.  "You'd never know what she'd have in a box in her bedroom (that she was) taking care of.".
