Jorge Luis Moralez, age 27, died, Tuesday, July 28, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 7, 1998, in Johnson, Kansas, the son of Carlos and Blanca (Lopez) Moralez.
Jorge graduated from Ulysses High School with the Class of 2017. During his high school years, he was an active student-athlete, participating in golf, football, and track.
After graduation, Jorge attended Pratt Community College, where he pursued a career in the electrical trade. Through hard work and determination, he earned his Journeyman certification in 2025. He was proud of his profession and worked for J&J Powerline Contractors Inc. He was known for his generous heart and welcoming spirit. Jorge was the kind of person who made everyone feel at home, always making sure family and friends were taken care of. Jorge loved hunting, guns and spending time with his buddies working on and souping up cars, always enjoying the next project or the opportunity to lend a helping hand. He was a devoted OU football fan. Jorge looked forward to football season each year, especially the tradition of tailgating with his family. One of Jorge's faithful companions was his beloved dog, Kyzer, whom he loved dearly. Jorge will be remembered for the genuine love he shared with those around him. Though his time was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of his family, friends, coworkers, and everyone who knew him will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his parents Carlos and Blanca Moralez; siblings, Mario Morales and wife Megan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jesus Morales, Rosalba Morales, Blanca Morales all of Ulysses, Kansas, and Rosanna Vernon and husband Rope of Elkhart, Kansas; four nephews, Gannon Morales, Kenryck Morales, Kasich Smyth and Lennox Vernon; and many cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erasmo and Manuela Morales.
Funeral Service will be Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Country View Baptist Church with Pastor James Berry officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery.
