More than 300 people attended the joint annual meeting of Pioneer Communications and Pioneer Electric on September 10, 2026, at the Grant County Civic Center in Ulysses.
Holding the meetings together made the evening more convenient for members, as the two cooperatives serve many of the same customers throughout southwest Kansas.
Members heard board election results, reviewed financial statements, and received updates from Catherine Moyer, CEO of Pioneer Communications, and Lindsay Campbell, CEO of Pioneer Electric.
Both companies also shared videos highlighting their employees, commitment to local service and the many ways they give back to the communities they serve.
Attendees enjoyed a free meal catered by Webb’s BBQ, customer appreciation gifts and giveaway prizes. Pioneer Communications gave a cash gift to each registered attendee, with Craig Brown receiving the $500 cash prize. Pioneer Electric provided camping lanterns.
Pioneer Communications and Pioneer Electric thank everyone who attended and helped make the joint annual meeting a success. Both cooperatives are proud to serve southwest Kansas and remain committed to supporting their members and communities.
