New 'Sight for Sight' Program Expands Access To Vision Care

Posted

The Western Kansas Community Foundation, in partnership with Finney County United Way, has announced the launch of the Sight for Sight Assistance Program, a new initiative designed to help residents access essential vision care.

The program is supported by the Sight for Sight Fund, established in honor of Dr. Luther L. Fry. The fund serves as a tribute to Fry’s legacy while addressing a critical need in rural communities—ensuring individuals and families can obtain necessary eye care regardless of financial circumstances.

Through the program, financial assistance will be available to qualifying patients across the 15 counties served by the Western Kansas Community Foundation, helping to reduce or eliminate the cost barriers often associated with exams, treatments, and corrective vision services.

Organizers say the effort is focused on improving quality of life by making vision care more accessible, particularly in areas where healthcare resources can be limited and costs can prevent timely treatment.

Those interested in learning more about eligibility requirements or how to apply are encouraged to visit the Finney County United Way for additional information.
