Liberal Police Department officers responded to 737 S. Kansas Avenue, Capital Sports Bar, at 2:10 a.m., Sunday morning, July 16 for what was reported as gunshots.
Authorities said when officers arrived, they located two gunshot victims and one suspect on the scene. The suspect was taken into custody and a firearm was recovered. Both victims were transported by Seward County Emergency Medical Services to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal. One of the victims was later pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
