Robert Lynn Faulds, 80, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 13.

He was born in Wichita, Kan., February 5, 1946, to Clyde and Lois (Titus) Faulds.

Robert served proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1963-1966.

He attended school in Ulysses, getting his diploma at San Diego Night School.  He then began farming with his father, Clyde.

Robert married Vicki Branson August 19, 1967.  To that union were born three daughters: Alisha, Brandi, and Tonya.

Robert got into real estate where he enjoyed finding homes for people to complete their dreams.  He started a trucking business called Duke Trucking, hauling grain all over the state of Kansas.  He also owned convenience stores and liquor stores in Pagosa Springs, Colo., from 1988-2000.

Robert lived a big, busy life.  He admired John Wayne and often said the legendary actor was his hero, appreciating the values of courage, integrity, and determination he represented.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki, of the home; children: Alisha Peterson, Brandi Peterson (Christian) and Tonya Peterson (Brent); grandsons: Colton Peterson, Sterling Payton, and Rhyder Payton; granddaughter, Loren Silva; and two great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by nieces: Tari Jo and Leona Piper; nephews: Billy Beohler and Rick Piper.

Robert will be remembered for his many accomplishments, his love for his family, and, above all, his steadfast faith in his Lord and Savior. His life was a testament to perseverance, generosity, and living each day with purpose.

A memorial service is planned for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 18, at the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church, with pastor Lance Smith officiating.
