Skyland patrons,
As many are already aware, there have been several leadership changes in the past several weeks. The Board appointed Scott DeWeese as Interim CEO until a permanent replacement is named. Scott has been part of the Executive Leadership Team since 2018.
We recognize there is a lot of uncertainty. The rumor mill is full of stories, most of which are not true. While it is true that Skyland has experienced a financial challenge, Skyland’s Executive Management Team and the Board are working diligently to put Skyland back on track. We are working closely with CoBank, our lender, as we move forward.
We are looking forward to a bountiful fall harvest. Skyland is preparing for fall harvest, cotton ginning and wheat planting to meet the needs of our farmers.
