Tiger Homecoming Set For This Friday

Posted

Spirit Week is underway with roaring energy flowing through USD 214, building up to the Tigers Homecoming game against the Holcomb Longhorns.

Each school has been issued a style for each day of the week. Themes such as Generation Color Wars, Adam Sandler Day, Pink Day, and Dress to Impress Day were among the student body between September 11 and September 14. For Homecoming Day, Friday, September 15, all schools will unite in displaying orange and black to symbolize their Tiger Pride before dismissing at noon.

To hype up the community, the annual Homecoming Parade will make its way downtown at 2 p.m. Before catching the big game, attendees are encouraged to grab a bite at the Big Orange Boosters Hamburger feed starting at 5:30 p.m. at Maxwell Field. Prior to kick-off, the Homecoming King and Queen will be announced.

Immediately following the game, Grant County Recreation Commission will host the UHS Homecoming Dance until midnight at the GCRC Activity Center.

More information on the Homecoming candidates can be found on page 12! Let’s go, Tigers!
