At the end of December 2025, a significant chapter in the story of the Grant County Chamber of Commerce came to a close with the retirement of longtime Chamber Director Marieta Hauser.
For years, Hauser served as a steady and passionate advocate for Grant County, helping guide community events, business initiatives, and leadership programs that shaped the community. While retirement often signals a slowing down, that has not been the case for Hauser. Instead, she has shifted her focus to a broader stage, stepping into expanded roles with Farm Bureau — an organization she has been deeply involved with for many years.
Though she has officially stepped away from her Chamber position, the foundation she built remains. Hauser worked closely alongside current Chamber Director Robin Leonard through countless events and initiatives, instilling principles of organization, service, and community pride that continue to guide the Chamber’s work today.
It is not often a community is shaped by a true example of servant leadership — someone whose influence extends well beyond a job title and whose dedication is felt locally, statewide, and even nationally. In Grant County, that example can be found in Hauser.
Throughout her tenure, she devoted herself to serving others in countless ways. From mentoring young leaders through programs such as Junior Leadership to coordinating community events that brought residents together, her work strengthened connections and created opportunities for growth across generations.
Her leadership was marked by tireless effort, humility, and an unwavering commitment to the community she proudly represented. The imprint she leaves on Grant County will endure long after her retirement from the Chamber.
In recognition of her years of service, we are joined with many in congratulating Marieta Hauser on her well-earned retirement and to celebrate the lasting legacy she has built.
