ULYSSES — Grant County Health Department was proud to host the Ascension Via Christi 3D Mammogram Bus November 3 and 4 in Ulysses, offering women in the community convenient access to advanced breast cancer screening close to home.

This mobile unit brought state-of-the-art 3D mammography technology directly to rural Kansas communities, helping remove barriers to preventive care. The 3D mammogram provides clearer, more detailed images for earlier and more accurate detection of breast cancer while saving patients a long drive. More than 30+ women are receiving mammograms during the two-day event, helping make early detection easier and more accessible for those in rural southwest Kansas.

“We’re excited to partner with Ascension Via Christi to make this important service available here in Grant County,” said Denise James, Health Department Administrator. “This is preventive health in action, and we’re proud to support early detection efforts that make a real difference for local women.”

The Health Department thanked Ascension Via Christi for their continued commitment to improving rural health access and supporting community wellness initiatives.
