OKLAHOMA CITY - Proposed legislation would name part of an Oklahoma highway after two women who were killed and then buried in a freezer.

House Bill 1486 would rename the section of State Highway 95 from Four Corners to two miles north in Texas County. The stretch would be designated as the “Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley Memorial Highway.”

ODOT would place permanent markers bearing that name on the highway.

Butler and Kelley were headed from Hugoton, Kansas to Eva, Oklahoma to pick up Butler’s children for a birthday party when they went missing March 30, 2024.

Their bodies were found April 14, 2024, buried in a freezer.

Tiffany Adams, Tad Cullum, Cole and Cora Twombly, and Paul Grice, are charged with their murders.
