Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary hosted a bakesale Friday, November 8, in the hospital lobby.
"It went really well we made enough to offer a scholarship," said Auxiliary Member Joyce Brom. "Our goal is to fund 10 - $1,000 scholarships each year and we made enough to do one."
According to Brom, their sale brought in $1,100.
The money they raised from the event was in conjunction with the Grant County Gives program.
"We will get a matching percentage from what we brought in from Grant County Gives," Brom said. "I'm not sure how much it will be this year but in the past we received a 65 percent match. I don't believe it's that much any more."
For the bake sale, auxiliary members provided an abundance of goodies for shoppers to chose from. Brom said the only thing they didn't have this time was fudge.
"We usually have some fudge," she said. "This time we had brownies, cookies, pumpkin bars, caramel corn, pies, breads - a lot of things. We also had a raffle for a Patrick Mahomes beanie. Roger Flummerfelt won that."
