Common Spirit Hosts Chamber Coffee

Grant County Chamber hosted a big crowd at last week's Chamber Coffee April 17, at The Creek in Ulysses.

Hosted by Common Spirit - Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, Chamber Director Robin Leonard introduced Suzanna Koel, Chief Philanthropy Officer for Common Spirit. After speaking about what her office does, Koel then introduced President  Jason Justice, who spoke to those attending about services Common Spirit offers and what they are working on going forward.

Leonard also made several announcments at the coffee including:

νSpring Fling (which took place last weekend) - we have some great new vendors and some great returning vendors. We have some great food trucks. We will have live entertainment and a Match Game. Legislative Coffee in the 4-H building, a Pinewood Derby, kiddie tractor pull and a tractor pull.

νApril 25 - Marvin Meile 80th birthday party at the Civic Center in the Lawson room. It will be from 2-4 p.m. No gifts please. Cards are welcome

νSenior prom at Grant County Senior Center April 25 at the senior center hosted by the Junior Leadership. Dancing, food and bingo. Anyone over 18 is welcome.

νFriends of Grant County Library Foundation  will meet at 5 p.m., April 28 at Grant County Library. Friends of the Library and non-members are invited to attend.

νHome Products Dinner coming up in September. We are still looking for a button artist. We are accepting all media - any kind of art. Bring it by the Chamber office. The deadline is May 1. The theme is harvesting America's plains. We are also looking for our Citizen of the year.  Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office or online. Deadline is May 15.

Next Chamber Coffee will be April 24 at Ulysses High School in the concessions area.
