Core Community of Ulysses recently received a grant in the amount of $2,000 from Grant County Women of Purpose.

A spokesperson for Core Community extended the organization's appreciation for the funds.

"Grant County Community extends a heartfelt thank you to Grant County Woman of Purpose for their generous $2,000 grant and for providing a delicious meal at our recent Core Gathering," the spokesperson said. "Their support goes beyond dollars—it’s a powerful show of belief in the work we’re doing to strengthen families and change lives."

The Grant County Women of Purpose Grant empowers local women and families through intentional generosity and community-minded giving.

"We are honored to be one of this year’s recipients and deeply grateful for their partnership and encouragement," the spokesperson said.

Core Community exists to help families in Ulysses break free from the cycle of poverty. Through weekly gatherings, training, and supportive relationships, their two-phase program equips individuals with the tools, resources, and hope they need to create lasting change.

"The impact is already clear: our first cohort of Core Leaders have collectively reduced their government assistance by $740 per month (nearly $8,900 a year), increased their income by $3,098 per month (just over $37,000 a year), and reduced their debt by around $3,000," the spokesperson said. "We are seeing lives transformed."

If you, like the Grant County Women of Purpose, would like to help Core Community continue this impactful work, they are working toward a goal of raising $80,000.

"Your support can make all the difference," the spokesperson said.
