Firefighters and local law enforcement respond to an engulfed vehicle report on South Durham Street, Tuesday, October 28. The call came in at around 9:51 a.m., and the damage was already well on its way.
"A truck was totally engulfed (in flames) when they arrived," said Grant County Fire Chief John Crosby. "A leak in the fuel line was the cause of the fire. The vehicle was a total loss."
According to a spokesperson for the Ulysses Police Department, the vehicle belonged to the Romero family of Ulysses. No one was in the vehicle at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.'
