GUYMON, Okla. - A fatality accident occurred at approximately 7:39 a.m., Friday, February 14, on County Road Y at Mile 30, approximately 1 mile south and 1 mile west of Guymon, Okla.
Authorities said Cory D. Hammonds, 59, Perryton, Texas, was driving a 2013 Peterbilt tractor eastbound on County Road Y, and Treyton K. Mussman, 27, Gymon was northbound on Texas County Road 30, in a 2014 Ram 1500, at the time of the collision.
The Peterbilt, which was reportedly hauling propane, struck the driver's side of the 2014 Ram 1500 in the intersection for an "unknown reason".
Authorities said Hammonds was trapped in his vehicle. He was transported by EMS to Guymon Memorial Hospital, and from there he was medi-flighted by Apollo to a Texas Trauma center with trunk internal injuries.
Mussman was pronounced deceased at the scene by Medical Examiner investigator.
