Grab your lawn chairs and head out to the ball fields! GCRC’s Coed Softball League has provided plenty of action and fun this summer, bringing players and spectators together for some competitive softball.
The league is open to players ages 16 and older, with each team required to have six boys and four girls on the field.
GCRC Sports Director Edeka Hauser said the league has continued to grow and has created a competitive atmosphere for players.
“There are 11 teams total playing softball, which is more than last year, and it has made for a great competitive league,” Hauser said. “It has been fun, and people enjoy coming out to the fields with their lawn chairs and watching some impressive softball.”
The games have become a fun summer activity for players, families and community members who enjoy spending an evening at the fields, cheering on the teams and watching the competition.
The season will wrap up with the GCRC Coed Softball Tournament on August 13-14.
Community members are invited to bring a lawn chair, come out to the fields and support the local players as they compete for the tournament championship.
Come out August 13-14 and enjoy some great coed softball!
